Cardiovascular Exercise for a Better heart

Participate in a cardio programme you enjoy

When commencing cardiovascular exercises such as walking , cycling, skating, or using exercise equipments such as rowers, steppers, elliptical trainers, it is important to participate in something that you enjoy, or at the very least, don't mind. If you like the outdoors, go for a scenic walk or a cycle ride. If you like company, how about a game of tennis or squash?
             Many fitness centres have TV monitors on their cardiovascular equipment to make the choice even easier. Finding the right formula to a successful transformation is very important. A cardio programme that you hate is a perfect excuse not to do it.



Cardio intensity

Cardiovascular exercises should be conducted at such a rate that the body builds up a sweat but doesn't get out of breath. Train at such an intensity that you can simultaneously talk to somebody without too much trouble. This is called aerobic exercise and its main focus is burning body fat. When performing aetobiv exercises, the bloodstream carries a high volume of oxygen to help transport fat through the body.
             When training at a more intense level such as running or doing high-intensity weight training, called anaerobic exercise, oxygen is not utilised through the bloodstream. Therefore, this is not the most ideal scenario for burning fat and maintaining muscle. That is because the oxygen absobed is being used by involuntary muscles such as the heart and lungs. The duration of cardiovascular exercises should not exceed 20mts at the beginning of your programme.

Cardio timing

I believe the most beneficial time for cardio is in thebmorning, after breakfast, and this is for several reasons. One- since cardio exercise need to be done in the beginning,you do it early in the day and get through with it. So if something was to arise throughout the coarse of the day,you know that the cardio part has already been completed to there is one excuse less to bank on. Set your alarm clock 30 mts earlier than normal,don't hit that snooze button,and just get straight up. Have your clothes ready to jump into and just start. It also gets your blood flowing for the day and you will feel so much better for it.
